Women’s Wrestling Headed to CCC Championships Ranked No. 20 in the Nation

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon’s women’s wrestling team is gearing up for this weekend’s trip to Atherton, California, for the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships with a national ranking of No. 20.

In the final edition of the NAIA Women’s Wrestling Ratings for the 2023-24 season, the top five teams remained unchanged, with Menlo, Life, Grand View, Southern Oregon, and Providence topping the list. Cascade Conference contenders Menlo College, Southern Oregon University, University of Providence, and Vanguard University each maintained their respective positions as No. 1, No. 4, No. 5, and No. 12. Eastern Oregon returned to the rankings for the first time since the original preseason poll, where they also came in at the 20th spot. Evergreen State represented the CCC by receiving votes but narrowly missed making the list.

As the fifth-ranked group among CCC teams, the Mounties boast a commendable 4-4 overall record, with a 1-0 standing in conference play. The 2024 CCC Women’s Wrestling Tournament, presented by U.S. Bank, will take place on Sunday, February 25th, in Atherton, California.
