Women’s Lacrosse Concludes Season Against Corban

SALEM, Ore. – Eastern Oregon women’s lacrosse capped off their season on Saturday, traveling to Salem to face Corban University in the final game of the 2024 season. The Warriors held off the Mounties, ultimately concluding with a final score of 18-8 in favor of the home team.

The match kicked off with Corban’s Naomi Rauch scoring early at the 12:17 mark, assisted by Elsie Marineau. However, Eastern Oregon quickly responded with a goal from Saydee Hetrick, leveling the score at 1-1.

Despite the Mountaineers’ initial defiance, Corban’s offense gained momentum as Megan Lia and Sydney Davis consistently found the back of the net, extending their lead to 6-1 by the end of the first period.

Eastern Oregon attempted to narrow the gap, with Jade McCoy and Maddy Woodruff contributing crucial goals, but the Warriors entered halftime with a commanding 7-3 lead.

The second half saw a valiant effort from the Mounties with Claire Bever and Saydee Hetrick adding to their team’s tally. However, Corban took off to score 11 second-half goals and secure the 18-8 victory.
