Women’s Lacrosse Announces Late Season Schedule Update

LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University Women’s Lacrosse announced multiple changes to the team’s schedule on Tuesday afternoon.

Originally scheduled to take on Lewis and Clark College on April 13, the Pioneers cancelled the matchup. In an effort to retain their final home game, the team has pivoted and added a game against Corban University on April 13, starting at 1 p.m. The final home game will still act as EOU Women’s Lacrosse’s senior day game.

“While we are disappointed to not see Lewis and Clark this year, we are excited for the opportunity to add an extra NAIA contest this spring,” Head Coach Scott Shannon said. “Since we are the only two women’s lacrosse teams in the CCC, these games have a rivalry atmosphere and, with the addition of senior day festivities at both locations, I expect that these will be high energy contests.”

Along with the change to the home schedule, the Mountaineers have pushed back their coming matchup against the Warriors originally scheduled for April 7. Eastern Oregon and Corban will now play a game at Corban on April 20 at 1 p.m.

“I’m looking forward to our team working hard over the next couple of weeks and being ready to compete to close out the 2024 season.”
