LA GRANDE, Ore.— The Mountaineers jumped out to an early 27-7 lead in the first quarter, eventually claiming a 84-52 victory over Warner Pacific on Saturday afternoon.
Led by Bayley Brennan’s 17 points and Brie Holecek’s 19 points, Eastern Oregon maintained their momentum throughout the 32 point victory. The team also witnessed a standout performance from Delaney Pink, who scored a season-high 11 points with three three-pointers.
Warner Pacific struggled to keep up with Eastern Oregon’s offensive firepower, shooting just 36.8% from the field and 19% from beyond the arc. Emily Brown led the Knights offense with 9 points and 4 rebounds.
Eastern Oregon put up another dominant performance on the boards, outrebounding Warner Pacific 44-33, with Beverly Slater leading the way with 14 rebounds. Slater recorded her 14th double digit rebound performance of the year, further extending her lead as the program’s all-time rebounding leader.
Following this victory, Eastern Oregon improves to 16-6 overall and 12-6 in the CCC, while Warner Pacific falls to 6-16 overall and 4-14 in conference play. The Mounties will travel to face Northwest University in Kirkland next Friday, set to tip off at 5:30 p.m. on February 16th.
