KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Unsure of their future, the EOU women’s basketball team gathered in Quinn Thursday night to huddle around a TV that would show them their fate. A large cheer erupted soon after as it was announced by the NAIA that Eastern Oregon earned a spot in the national tournament for the third year in a row.

Eastern was named the 15 seed in the Naismith Quadrant of the bracket and will take on first and second round host, No. 2-seeded University of Providence. Their first-round matchup is scheduled for March 15, the start time will be announced at a later date.

If the Mounties come away victorious in the first game they will play the winner of 7-seeded Reinhardt and 10-seeded Arizona Christian the following day.
