Volleyball Clinches CCC Regular Season Title

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University’s women’s volleyball has clinched the Cascade Collegiate Conference Regular Season Championship for the 2023 season. With a conference record of 20-1, Eastern Oregon stands alone at the top of the CCC standings with a remarkable .952 winning percentage. Their overall performance has been nothing short of spectacular, boasting a 27-1 record for an outstanding .964 overall winning percentage.

The Mounties have been a force to be reckoned with in both home and away games, remaining undefeated at home with an 11-0 record and maintaining a strong 9-1 record on the road. Even on neutral ground, they have been a dominant presence with a flawless 7-0 record. The Mountaineers finished the regular season on a 16-game winning streak.

The Mounties sit near the top of the nation in various statistical categories beyond their win-loss record. They lead the CCC in several defensive statistics, boasting the lowest opponent hitting percentage in the conference at .071. Offensively they have racked up 878 kills while limiting their opponents to just 641 kills. Additionally, Eastern Oregon has been a dominant force at the net, leading the CCC in blocks with an impressive total of 435, including 35 solo blocks and 400 assisted blocks, with an average of 2.69 blocks per set.

Throughout the season, the Mounties have earned numerous accolades, including nine CCC Player of the Week honors, one National Player of the Week, and one CCC Team of the Week honor. With the Mounties regular season title, Eastern is set to host the Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament on November 10th and 11th.
