NEW ORLEANS, La. – Eastern Oregon University’s Men’s and Women’s Outdoor Track & Field teams have once again earned commendable positions in this week’s NAIA National Rating Index. Both teams have secured spots within the Top 25 rankings, a testament to their hard work throughout the season.
The women’s team has achieved a notable No. 25 ranking after receiving 82.23 points in the national poll. Among the various event rankings, the Mounties has particularly shone in the Heptathlon and Javelin events, securing the 2nd position in both. Additionally, they have displayed remarkable performances in the High Jump and 100 Meter Hurdles events, ranking 7th and 10th respectively.
On the men’s side, Eastern Oregon’s team has clinched the 16th position with a total of 121.27 points. Notably, the men’s team has dominated the Steeplechase event, securing the top spot. The group also achieved impressive rankings of 3rd in 400 Meter Hurdles, 6th in 110 Meter Hurdles, 8th in Shot Put, and 11th in 1500 Meters.
The Mountaineers are currently gearing up for the CCC Multi-Event Championships and EOU Open, hosted by Eastern Oregon at Banner Bank Track on April 18-19th.
