Women’s Wrestling Withdraws from Oregon Classic Due to Scheduling Conflicts

LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon Women’s Wrestling has announced their withdrawal from the Oregon Classic scheduled to take place from January 12-14. The decision comes after careful consideration and an assessment of the team’s scheduling conflicts, aiming to prioritize the athletes’ well-being and strategic preparation for upcoming matches.

After a demanding weekend on the road, competing in numerous matches in Iowa, the team has opted to forego additional travel to face the same opponents in the coming weeks. Instead, they will use this time to rest and diligently prepare for upcoming matches against familiar rivals.

The coaching staff and athletes appreciate the understanding and support of fans, sponsors, and the wrestling community as they prioritize the long-term success and well-being of the Eastern Oregon Women’s Wrestling team.
