KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon Softball hung on to their No. 15 ranking on Wednesday, as announced in the third official NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25 Rankings.

The Cascade Collegiate Conference continues to shine in national rankings, boasting four programs in the Top 25. Oregon Tech advanced one spot to claim the No. 4 position. Southern Oregon University and Eastern Oregon University maintained their No. 10 and No. 15 rankings, respectively. Meanwhile, College of Idaho climbed two spots to secure the No. 19 position. In the CCC standings, the Mountaineers hold the second spot with an impressive 13-2 conference record and a 23-7 overall season record.

The NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25 Rankings, determined by a panel of head coaches representing various conferences and the Continental Athletic Conference, utilize a meticulous points system. Each coach’s ranking contributes to a team’s overall points, with 30 points awarded for a first-place vote, 29 for second place, and so forth. Notably, the highest and lowest rankings for each team are discarded to ensure fairness and accuracy in the rankings. Furthermore, teams garner an additional point for each ballot they appear on, further refining the rankings.

The Mountaineers will College of Idaho this weekend, battling for the top spot in the conference on April 6th.
