Running Eagles Defeat Mounties in Georgia

MARIETTA, Ga. – Eastern Oregon women’s lacrosse continued their trip to the South with a contest against Life University on Tuesday, falling to the Running Eagles with a final score of 23-2.

The first period set the tone for the game, with Life University taking a commanding 9-1 lead. Despite efforts to bounce back in the second period, the Mountaineers were unable to close the gap, trailing 14-1 at halftime. The Running Eagles maintained their momentum throughout the second half, ultimately securing the victory.

Life controlled the ball with a total of 36 shots compared to the Mountaineers’ 4 shots throughout the game.

Leading the scoring for Eastern Oregon were Saydee Hetrick and Jade McCoy, each contributing one goal. Life’s offense was led by Alyssa Curto with 6 goals and 6 assists, followed by Lexi Santiago with 4 goals and 2 assists.

The Mountaineers will travel to Athens tomorrow for their next game with Tennessee Wesleyan University, set to start at 12:00 p.m. EST.
