Outdoor Track & Field Ranks Within Top 25 Ahead of CCC Championships

LA GRANDE, Ore. – As the Cascade Collegiate Conference Outdoor Championships approach, Eastern Oregon’s outdoor track and field teams both rank within the Top 25 of the most recent USTFCCCA national polls.

In the men’s division, the meet will showcase several nationally ranked teams, including the #11 Eastern Oregon University, as well as #3 University of British Columbia, #25 Southern Oregon University, and #29 Lewis-Clark State College.

The Mountaineers also hold impressive rankings across various events, including #1 in Steeplechase, #3 in 400 Hurdles, #6 in 5000m, #7 in 110 High Hurdles, #7 in Shot Put, and #9 in Pole Vault.

On the women’s side, Eastern Oregon enters the conference championships ranked #23 in the nation. The women’s meet will feature competition like #1 University of British Columbia, #17 College of Idaho, and #28 Lewis-Clark State College.

The Mounties women’s team also secured top 10 rankings in pivotal events, including the top spot in the Heptathlon, ranking #2 in Javelin, #4 in 400 Hurdles, #7 in High Jump, and #9 in 100 Hurdles.

The CCC Outdoor Championships will get underway this Friday at 2 p.m. in Klamath Falls.
