LA GRANDE, Ore.- Eastern Oregon was back in action Saturday afternoon as they took on the Nighthawks of Northwest Nazarene University (NCAA DII) in an exhibition match to kick off the 2023 season. EOU ultimately managed to clinch a 2-1 victory over the Nighthawks.
Eastern Oregon’s Kana Mateaki, showcased her exceptional skills, scoring twice for her team. She opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with an unassisted goal. She then doubled the lead shortly after halftime, once again without any assistance, in the 48th minute.
