Mounties Take Down No. 20 Tigers

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – The Lady Mountaineers were back in action Tuesday as they played their final match of their three game southern road trip. Eastern took on the No. 20 nationally ranked Campbellsville University. The Mounties proved to be too much for the Tigers as they ultimately took the match by a score of 1-0 to improve to 2-0-1 in the 2023 season.

Eastern Oregon jumped out to an early 1-0 lead just five minutes into the match after Emmy Williams found the back of the net on an assist from Sydney Peck. After taking the early lead, the Mountaineers allowed their defense to carry them which was sparked by some stellar goalkeeping by Sophomore Goalie Rylee Schei who finished the match with nine saves. Schei and the Mounties ultimately held the Tigers scoreless, taking the match by a score of 1-0.
