WALLA WALLA, Wash – Eastern Oregon Baseball was back in action Tuesday as they took on the Blues of Whitman College. The Blues took the matchup after fighting back from an early first-inning deficit to take the win, 10-3.
Eastern got on the board first in the top of the first inning after a Mason Van Arsdall single brought Joey Freitas home to give the Mountaineers a 1-0 lead. The Blues responded and exploded for six runs in the third inning highlighted by a Sam Mieszkows grand slam to take a 6-1 lead. Whitman extended their lead in the forth adding four more runs in the inning to make the score 10-1. Eastern tried to ignite a comeback, scoring runs in both the eighth and ninth innings but it ultimately was not enough as the Blues took the game by a score of 10-3.

Eastern Oregon will be back in action Friday, April. 5 as they will travel to Salem, Ore. to take on the Warriors of Corban University. First pitch is set for 3:00 p.m.
