HELENA, Mont. – Eastern Oregon Women’s Soccer was back in action Friday as they traveled to Helena, Mont. to take on the Saints of Carroll College. Eastern ultimately dropped the match by a score of 3-1.
The Saints struck first in the match as Delaney Moczan scored an unassisted goal in the 21st minute. The Mounties racked up an impressive nine shots in the first half with three being on goal but were unable to find the back of the net as they trailed after 45 minutes of play, 1-0.
Carroll extended their lead early in the second half after Avery Lambourne scored an unassisted goal in the 48th minute, giving the Saints a 2-0 lead. Eastern Oregon responded with a goal from Peyton Jacaway, narrowing the deficit to 2-1 in the 80th minute. The Saints sealed the victory in the 81st minute after Moczan scored her second goal of the match, assisted by Jaymee Sheridan, making the final score 3-1.
