CALDWELL, Idaho.- Eastern Oregon returned to the pitch on Thursday afternoon as they traveled to Caldwell, Idaho to take on Hope International University in a neutral site match. The Mountaineers tied with the Royals as the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
The first half of the match was a back and forth defensive battle as neither team was willing to give an inch. Eastern goalkeeper Rylee Schei had two first half saves to hold the Royals scoreless and after 45 minutes of play the match was knotted up at zero.
Eastern broke the tie early in the second half after Emmy Williams found the back of the net in the 46th minute , assisted by Erika Skindlov. The Royals did not go away and a late 87th minute goal by Hope’s Christiane Sundstrom tied the match up at one. After 90 minutes of play, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Eastern Oregon will be back in action Friday, Sept. 15 as they kick off Cascade Collegiate Conference play on the road in Kirkland, Wash. as they take on the Eagles Northwest University. Match time is set for 3:00 p.m.
