Mounties Draw With Bulldogs

ATHENS, Tenn – Eastern Oregon took the pitch for game two of a three game road trip. It was a defensive battle as neither team was able to find the back of the net in the contest, resulting in a 0-0 tie.

The Mountaineers racked up five shots on goal in Saturday’s match, with three of those being from Senior Emmy Williams, but were unable to sneak one past Bulldog Goalkeeper, Laia Roch Font who finished with five saves. Although the Mounties could not find the back of the net, their stellar defense carried them throughout. Eastern allowed just one shot on goal in the match which was saved by Sophomore Goalkeeper Rylee Schei. The match ultimately ended in a 0-0 tie, giving Eastern a 1-0-1 record early in the 2023 season.
