Mounties Complete Semifinal Comeback, Advance to CCC Championship

LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon Volleyball delivered a match to remember in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Semifinals, climbing back from a two set deficit to defeat College of Idaho. The Mounties triumphed in the five-set battle, claiming the match with scores of 19-25, 15-25, 25-21, 25-22, and 15-8.

Madison Morgan led the charge offensively with an impressive 14 kills on the night, while Ashton Haughton followed closely with 13 kills and a .243 hitting percentage. Keira Vaughn, Sade Williams and Kiauna Mack added to the balanced attack with 9 kills each.

Alexis McMurtrey and Hannah Ledgerwood orchestrated the Mounties’ offense with precision, delivering a combined 48 assists throughout the match. Eastern Oregon also won the defensive battle, recording 77 digs and 23 blocks on the night.

Jade Warren emerged as a force on the attack for the Yotes, recording an impressive 15 kills with a stellar .407 kill percentage. Shelbey Nichol also contributed significantly with 8 kills, while Analise Hitchcock directed College of Idaho’s offense with 21 assists.

The Mounties now boast an outstanding 29-1 overall record and remain unbeaten at home. With a conference title on the line, Eastern Oregon is set to face the Corban University Warriors tomorrow afternoon at Quinn Coliseum, with the match scheduled to start at 3:00 p.m.
