GREAT FALLS, Mont. – Eastern Oregon was back in action Saturday as they traveled to Great Falls, Mont. to take on the Argos of the University of Providence. The Mounties had a huge offensive day ultimately taking the match by a score of 7-0.
Amanda Gribble opened the scoring in the 29th minute for Eastern Oregon, assisted by Karina DeYoung, making it 1-0. Shortly after, in the 34th minute Gracie Hoover extended the lead for the Mounties with an unassisted goal. The first half scoring was not done there as Gribble found her second goal of the half, this time assisted by Kana Mateaki, giving EOU a 3-0 lead before the half.
As the second half kicked off, Eastern picked up right where they left off as Erika Skindlov added to the lead in the 49th minute with an unassisted goal, making it 4-0. The scoring barrage continued in the 61st minute after Mateaki found the back of the net then again in the 72nd minute when Skindlov scored for her second time in the match, assisted by Megan Gustafson. The scoring concluded in the 75th minute with a Tally Connors goal that gave the Mountaineers a 7-0 lead.
