PORTLAND, Ore. – Eastern Oregon’s volleyball team continued their impressive season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Multnomah on Saturday evening. The scoreboard favored Eastern Oregon with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, and 25-18, clinching their 13th straight victory.
Eastern Oregon showcased a highly efficient offensive performance, boasting an impressive .320 attack percentage across three sets. Kiauna Mack and Sade Williams led the charge, each contributing 8 kills, while Alexis McMurtrey orchestrated the offense with 20 assists. Madison Morgan and Emma Burlingame also made significant contributions, each adding 4 kills to the team’s impressive offensive display.
The serving game was another strong point for Eastern Oregon, adding pressure to Multnomah with 4 aces throughout the match.
Defensively, Eastern Oregon recorded a total of 55 digs. Hannah Ledgerwood led the way with 12 digs, closely followed by Adrienne Washington with 10. Kiauna Mack was a force at the net, contributing 4 blocks to the team’s defensive efforts.
Multnomah struggled to maintain consistency against EOU’s defense, resulting in a .048 attack percentage on the night. Tamia Allen-Greggs and Maya Blake were the top performers with 8 kills each, but their efforts were not enough to overcome Eastern Oregon’s strong presence.
This victory improves Eastern Oregon’s impressive season record to 24-1, with a conference record of 17-1. The Mountaineers will return to La Grande to face Bushnell University next Friday at 7:00 p.m.
