LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University is proud to announce that freshman Mylie Mills has been named the Rize Laboratory Volleyball Defender of the Week for an impressive third time this season.
Hailing from Nampa, Idaho, Mills has been a standout middle hitter for the No. 3 ranked Eastern Oregon University Mountaineers. This past weekend, she showcased her defensive dominance by recording a staggering 12 blocks across three contests, 7 of which came in the victory over College of Idaho. In addition to her outstanding performance, Mills also contributed 20 kills in the victories against College of Idaho, Warner Pacific University, and Multnomah University.
Mills is establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with in the Cascade Collegiate Conference. She ranks second in hitting percentage, boasting an impressive average of .329. Mills also currently holds the third position within the conference with 80 total blocks.
