Men’s Indoor Sweeps Player of the Week Awards

LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon proudly announces that both Justin Ash and Mark Church have been recognized for their outstanding achievements in track and field over the past weekend. The two athletes claimed both Cascade Collegiate Conference Men’s Indoor Athlete of the Week honors for both track and field.

Justin Ash has been awarded the title of Rize Laboratory Men’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week after competing in the EOU Last Chance Invite, where he finished first in the 3000-meter race with a time of 8:38.05 and secured an “A” standard.

In another impressive display, Mark Church has been named the Rize Laboratory Men’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week for the second time this season. Church set a new personal record in the weight throw, achieving a distance of 17.79m and attaining an “A” standard as well, placing him 18th in the NAIA rankings this season.

These accolades not only reflect the individual excellence of Justin Ash and Mark Church but also underscore Eastern Oregon University’s commitment to athletic excellence.
