CORVALLIS, Ore. – Eastern Oregon standout junior pitcher, Kaylie Hoskins, has once again been named the Rize Laboratory Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season. Hoskins, hailing from Lake Stevens, Washington, was named Cascade Collegiate Conference Newcomer of the Year last season for the Mounties and has been a crucial part in leading the Mounties to a 7-2 record so far this season.
Throughout the weekend’s series with Whitworth, Hoskins conceded just one earned run across 10 innings pitched. Her stellar performance included 22 strikeouts and an impressive 0.70 ERA. The junior currently sits at 2-1 on the season, recording a staggering total of 48 strikeouts with just three earned runs given up on the season.
Eastern Oregon University is thrilled to see its athletes gain well-deserved recognition and looks forward to more spectacular performances from Hoskins and the entire Mountaineer softball team.
