KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon’s all time strikeout leader, Kaylie Hoskins, added another award to her impressive resume. Hoskins earned NAIA National Pitcher of the week after throwing a Perfect Game against the Argos of the University of Providence on Mar. 29.
Most recently, in the Mountaineers series against University of Providence, Hoskins dominated in the circle. She allowed only two hits in a total of 12 innings pitched , giving up 0 runs. Hoskins kept a perfect ERA throughout the series while recording an incredible 27 strikeouts and threw a perfect game in her second appearance in the series.
Hoskins and the Mountaineers currently hold a national ranking of No. 15 with an overall record of 22-5 and a 13-2 record in Cascade Collegiate Conference play. Eastern will be back in action Friday, April. 5 when they take on the Yotes of The College of Idaho at home in La Grande, Ore. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m.
