CORVALLIS, Ore. – Kaylie Hoskins has once again been recognized for her exceptional performance on the mound, named the Rize Laboratory Softball Pitcher of the Week for the fourth time this season.
Hoskins led the Eastern Oregon Mounties to a series sweep over Warner Pacific University this past weekend, allowing just three hits and one earned run across 10 innings of play. The junior also collected 26 strikeouts, finishing with an impressive 0.70 ERA. She currently leads the conference in earned run average, followed closely by fellow Mountaineer Kylie Parsons, as well as opposing batting average (.143), batters struck out (129), batters struck out looking (44), and earned runs allowed (9).
With this latest accolade, Hoskins has now earned the Pitcher of the Week honor nine times in her career as a Mountie. Her contributions to the No. 15-ranked Mounties’ success, particularly as the junior has amassed half of the conference’s pitching honors just eight weeks into the season.
