Eastern Oregon Volleyball Holds Steady at No. 3 in NAIA Rankings

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Eastern Oregon’s stellar volleyball team remains a constant force in the 2023 NAIA Women’s Volleyball Coaches’ Top 25 Rating, holding firm to their No. 3 spot this week.

While Indiana Wesleyan and Northwestern (Iowa) have ascended to share the No. 1 position, Eastern Oregon continues its impressive campaign with a 24-1 record, collecting a commendable 529 points in the latest rankings. The team also received two first-place votes, reflecting confidence in their abilities from voting panelists. Of note in this week’s rankings: Seven teams, including Eastern Oregon, have maintained their positions, while no newcomers have entered the coveted Top 25.

The Mounties currently hold a 13-game winning streak, sitting at 17-1 at the top of the Cascade Collegiate Conference. EOU further validated their ranking this past week, picking up dominant victories over College of Idaho, Warner Pacific, and Multnomah. Freshman Mylie Mills also recently was named CCC Defender of the Week for the third time this season, reflecting an impressive Mountaineer defense that leads the conference in blocks.

Eastern Oregon is set to host two conference matchups this weekend against Bushnell and No. 6 ranked Corban, with the latter having conference title implications on Senior Night.
