CLEVELAND, Ohio – In the recently released LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup winter standings for NAIA, Eastern Oregon University secured 27th place with 350 points.
The Cascade Collegiate Conference saw eight different institutions gain points during the winter period, with the Mounties contributing 151 points.
Contributing to Eastern Oregon’s success were the women’s basketball, men’s indoor track and field, and men’s and women’s wrestling teams. Notably, men’s wrestling emerged as a frontrunner, accumulating an impressive 64.5 total points. Women’s basketball earned 25 points, men’s indoor track and field secured 35.5 points, and women’s wrestling added 26 points to Eastern Oregon’s tally.
The LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup, a collaboration between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today, awards points based on each institution’s performance in NAIA Championships. Eastern Oregon University’s strong showing underscores its commitment to excellence in athletics.
