Eastern Oregon Football Announces First Signings of 2024 Recruiting Class

LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon University Football is excited to announce the first group of signings for the 2024 recruiting class.

“We are very excited about the collection of young men who decided today to continue their athletic and academic futures at Eastern Oregon University,” Head Coach Tim Camp said. “This group represents five states and a combination of skill sets that will help elevate our program.”

The first group of signees includes the three skill players, two bigs, and one combo athlete.

“As always, we value not just their athletic talents, but their commitment to high-level academics and strong character,” Camp said. “I appreciate all the hard work that our staff put in to assemble this outstanding class.”

Listed below are the first wave of players that have signed with Eastern Oregon Football for today’s National Signing Day. More signings will be announced in the coming days, follow along at eousports.com for more updates.

GROUP 1

Kaden Malesis
Sumner High School (WA) – Skill – FILM

Coaches comments: “Kaden is a big, physical wide receiver. He has the ability to make an impact by being an elite pass catcher and punishing blocker. He made a big impact for a big time program in Washington. Expect to see him do the same for the Mounties.”

Gonzalo Lopez-Rojas
Prosser High School (WA) – Big – FILM

Coaches comments: “Gonzalo adds size and length to our offensive front. He is a relentless football player that will make a difference in the offensive box.”

Walker Hilton
Newberg High School (OR) – Combo – FILM

Coaches comments: “Walker has decided to keep his talents in the state of Oregon. He is a savvy football player whose mentality will fit well into our defense.”

Jared Payne
Columbia High School (ID) – Skill – FILM

Coaches comments: “Jared is a versatile football player that can do multiple things really well. He plays fearless as both a tackler and is elite at going up and taking the football out of the air. He is also dangerous with the football in his hands.”

Camden Taylor
Montesano High School (WA) – Big – FILM

Coaches comments: ” Camden plays a with a relentless motor. He is an expert at owning the line of scrimmage. Camden is a Eastern Oregon kind of guy that will go to work for our Defensive line.”

Jevon Nelson
Borah High School (ID) – Skill – FILM

Coaches comments: “Jevon is an explosive athlete that is a threat to score every time he touches the football. He is a violent runner that is impossible to bring down with just one guy.”
