LA GRANDE, Ore. – Eastern Oregon Baseball has recently announced the addition of home games to their schedule this weekend as they host Saint Martin’s University. This NCAA Division II matchup is scheduled for 1 pm on Friday and 11 am / 2 pm on Saturday, providing an exciting opportunity for fans to witness the Mountaineers first action of 2024 on their home field.
Eastern Oregon began the season with a commendable 3-1 weekend performance against Simpson University, recording an impressive total of 34 runs across four games.
Highlighting the team’s stellar start, relief pitcher Jake Herrera was recently named CCC Pitcher of the Week. Herrera played a crucial role in securing the Mountaineers’ first victory of the season over Simpson University with a final score of 11-8. Herrera recorded a save by pitching two innings, striking out four batters, and successfully preventing any runs from crossing the plate.
