Davis and Grandle Break Records After Day One of CCC Multis

LA GRANDE, Ore. – The Mountaineers set the tone on Day One of the 2024 Cascade Collegiate Conference Multi-Events Championships, finishing highly in both the Men’s Decathlon and Women’s Heptathlon.

TJ Davis set the pace for the men’s competition with a total of 3,641 points. The graduate senior won four out of five events, setting new CCC Decathlon records in both the shot put and the 400-meter race. Following closely behind, Israel Miles ranks third with a total of 3,171 points.

On the women’s side, Elizabeth Grandle sits in second place with a total of 3,003 points, trailing Rebecca Dutchak of British Columbia by just 56 points. The sophomore notably broke the conference Heptathlon high jump record with a leap of 1.68 meters, also placing third in the EOU record books. Separated by a mere 65 points, the trio of Adrienne Washington, Samantha Conley, and Karli Bedard currently stand in 7th, 8th, and 9th place respectively.
