Cicierski and Wieber Earn Scholar-Athlete Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Dominating both on the mat and in the classroom, Brook Cicierski and Liv Wieber of Eastern Oregon Women’s Wrestling have been honored as the 2023-24 Daktronics NAIA Women’s Wrestling Scholar-Athletes. This prestigious recognition by the NAIA celebrates their exceptional achievements both athletically and academically.

The NAIA’s announcement of the 2023-24 Daktronics NAIA Women’s Wrestling Scholar-Athletes recognizes 125 exceptional student-athletes from across the nation.

This winter, 28 institutions have placed wrestlers on this distinguished list, underscoring the talent and academic excellence within the NAIA women’s wrestling community.

In order to qualify for this honor, student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appearing on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and completing one full year at their respective institution. 

As members of Eastern Oregon Women’s Wrestling, Cicierski and Wieber embody perseverance, discipline, and academic excellence. Their recognition as 2023-24 Daktronics NAIA Women’s Wrestling Scholar-Athletes not only celebrates their personal achievements but also highlights the culture of excellence within Eastern Oregon’s athletics.
