New to campus, is a space called the “Student Resource Lounge.” This area is a place where all EOU students can go to do homework, socialize with their peers, and eat snacks. There is a TV that can play your favorite music, show, or live sporting event. In this space there is also a copy machine, paper cutter, two computers, couches and tables that encourage a chillaxed zone.
The Student Resource Lounge is also a place where you can go if you need food and forgot to pack something. ASEOU donates to this in their mission to help “wipe out hunger” on campus. If you are interested in donating to help decrease food insecurity on campus, donations are always welcomed. There is also a variety of school supplies if you are in need like: binders, loose paper, pens, highlighters, scissors etc.
There will be resources and people in the room available to help you with whatever you need academically. Need help finding the right person to contact for financial aid? Scholarships? Student involvement? They have you covered. You can also get assistance with your online portals such as: Canvas, Navigate, Degree Works, Mountie Hub, EOU Library and much more. This space is the ultimate resource for students and such a great place to hang out!
The Lounge is located in Loso Hall upstairs in room 230 next to The Learning Center. They are open five days a week! Monday through Thursday: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The grand opening for this space will be Thursday May 12, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Stop by, say hi, and bring your friends!
When you decide to visit the lounge, you will be greeted with kindness and support in whatever ways you need. It is a great environment and opportunity to meet new people, be productive, or just relax and socialize.
