January is National Stalking Awareness Month and the EOU Title IX Office is partnering with the local DA’s Office, Law Enforcement and Shelter From the Storm to provide two informational sessions.
The first Session, titled ‘Stalking: How to detect it, where do I get help’ will take place over the week of January 27th from 12:05 – 12:50pm, as well as 5:15-6:15pm in the Hoke Union Building.
The session will cover:
- What is stalking
- How to recognize stalking
- How does the digital age relate to stalking
- Where to go for more information
The second session, titled ‘Become a Campus Advocate’ will take place on Monday, January 27th from 12:10-12:50pm in Hoke 301. The Campus Advocate session will be a “Lunch and Learn” session for attendees to hear about the role of the Campus Advocate and if they are a good fit for the program. Staff and faculty will have the opportunity to ask questions and hear from current advocates during the session. Attendees are encouraged to bring their lunch and questions to hear more.
Attendees will learn about:
- heightened trainings available for Campus Advocates
- time commitment
- what it is like to be a Campus Advocate
