If you are interested in finding a creative outlet or searching for a community that creates an inclusive and safe environment, you might want to consider joining the Art Club.
The Art Club meets every Friday at Loso Hall in the back of 210 where members broaden their knowledge and skills in a variety of art mediums. These mediums include painting, drawing, photography, ceramics, metalsmithing, glass, metal and wood sculpture, dance, theater, jewelry, and more. The Art Club welcomes people of all skill levels to join their club and are always accepting new members. To help fund the club’s materials and events, each member is asked to pay a $5 fee.
Along with these weekly meetings, the Art Club also holds public events. For the month of April, which is also Sexual Assault Awareness month, the Art Club will be partnering up with EOU’s privileged campus advocate to paint rocks to spread awareness. The club has many events planned for next term including a ceramics date night, beer and painting night in partnership with Side A, and a La Grande Farmers Market booth where they will be selling shirts, tote bags, ceramics, and art.
